looking for an Elise, what to expect in price

Hi
I'm new to this site, it is very nice and helpful.
I had a test drive of an 06 Elise , I love it.
I've had a Mercedes AMG, Carrera in the past and I currently have a Maserati and a Cayenne but the Elise has a different taste!
The question is how much discount to expect on:
05 new (found few)
06 new (found many)
versus used
I was able to get 40 k on new 06 in Texas (sticker 47) but I feel that there are many unsold 06 everywhere so is it better to wait for the release of 07 to get a better discount?
Thanks

buy it used

I am looking for an Elise or Elige as well..Try www.cars.com and punch in Lotus Elise etc..The majic number for a good low mileage car looks to be mid 30s or a bit less. problem is they all come wth different equip. As far as buying it new..you take a big hit as soon as you leave the show room. The Elige looks to be 10 grand more but a lot more car.

I just bought a 2006 Elise, from The Collection in South Florida, They have about 7 2006 Elise's and they are dealing, Ask for Micheal Roberts. He will give you the best price you will find.

I continue to research here in miami and the used option seems to be the way to go and let someone else take the first $5K dropoff. Now, if you find color, options, and everything with a new one, and plan on keeping her for a long while, over a long time, the smiles and enjoyment outweighs the few thou your saving.
