New owner in St. Louis

I will be picking up an '06 Artic Silver in the next week and have a few questions.

Is the power outlet (cigar lighter receptacle) European sized (just a little larger than American cars)? I know that Escort, the radar detector people, have a sleeve that fits into a European receptacles to ensure that your power plug fits snugly. Is it needed?

I also assume that the windsheild is standard laminated glass. I understand that some European sports cars have the polymer laminate on the inside of the glass and you cannot attach suction cups to them. Has anyone mounted a GPS or radar detector without a problem?

I am looking at the Sector 111 Zoom CF mirror. Has anyone had experience with installation and use of this mirror?

Thanks for any responses and I am looking forward to joining the elite rank of Elise drivers.
