Auto Transmission

hi there, I'm new to the group, and after seeing the Lotus SC recently at the LA Auto Show, was wondering if anyone knows a good shop that would convert a Lotus to Automatic Transmission for me (my wife wants to enjoy it too and does not know/like stick shift. I heard of ForceFedof Livermore, CA as an experienced place to do it, but don't know others or whether the $6K they mentioned (assuming they put in Toyota transmission) is a reasonable price. Also, hope that the car will still work reliably if modified by a good shop.

Any ideas??

learning to drive manual is not that bad. I think it would be a lot cheaper and less trouble just to keep the car the way it is and to learn manual. Besides driving a car with automatic tranny is boring.

Agreed...With cars like these, you dont change the CAR, YOU change for the car.
