Check engine light

My check engine light came on at 8300 miles. The temperature is fine, oil is fine. Anyone have any experience with this?

Did you change anything recently? Air intake changes or catalytic converter swaps are known to do this. Check all of your hoses for cracks/leaks, check that clamps are tight, etc.

check engine light

I recently had the light appear. Lotus service staff advised the computer was sensing a lean fuel mixture. This corresponded to an after market ram air cleaner that was installed. The computer didn't like the modification. I reinstalled the stock air cleaner housing and substituted a K&N air filter element. The computer sensed the alteration to air intake and the check engine light again appeared. Introduction of the stock Toyota filter element solved any further problems. The Lotus mechanic who seemed very knowledgable said the system is sensitive to other than factory installed parts.

Greg - that doesn't seem to agree with my experience. 2006 Exige with Reverie intake and Arqray exhaust. No engine lights, runs great.

Find any gas station with an OBD-2 reader...

they can reset the ECU in a minute--might be as simple as a loose gas cap the last time you filled up. They will read the code to you-=write it down and call your delaer with the info. and they can advise you. Good Luck!
