Selling Elise over MSRP

I'm selling my yellow '05 Elise for $10,000 over MSRP+tax,lic&fees/BO, or my spot on the list for Summer '04. The projected MSRP is about $40K. All interested parties should contact me immediately(via my Hotmail account (also surfninja69)

Actually, no.... I hope you total it on your way home from the dealership.... into your house, burning it down, and killing your favorite fish.

What you don't realize by your greedy capitalist attitude is that you're destroying the market for those of us who actually want to own the car. You (and similarly minded dealers) are the reason I withdrew my deposit and dropped back 6 months in line.

I really believe that what goes around comes around, though. I'm gonna laugh when your dealership installs a $10k "aftermarket package" consisting of floor mats and pin-stripes. You really deserve that.

If this guy wants to sell his car for more than MSRP that’s his own prerogative, I think he’s taking a risk by speculating on the Elise car market.

Personally I think $10,000 over MSRP is a little excessive. I also believe that If some one was prepared to pay $10,000 over MSRP there are many “marginal” Lotus dealers who could do this for you and make for a much cleaner transaction (banks usually frown on securing a note for a USED CAR selling for more than a new car).

surfninja69, if your serious about charging $10,000 over list you should think about spending a few dollars on placing adds in some national magazines. Most people on this board are enthusiasts and aren’t going to take too kindly to profiteering.
