Thumbs up It's not a matter of thinking it will be here...

It WILL be here, about Oct/Nov. They will only produce 200-300 a year for the U.S. If you thought getting an Elise was long enough, just wait and see how hard or long you'll wait for the Exige. I'd put my deposit in NOW! Each dealer will get, roughly about 6-8 a year.

My deposit is in, and they're filling up fast. If your waiting for an official announcement, it will be too late.

Get your deposit in now and let's hope we'll see the Exige by year end.

well I never got my number called from the list, my dealer called me and had ordered elise's that were canceled and they happened to have all the options we wanted. We have picked up 2 already, so if they end up having one around i'm sure they will give us a call.

Sound good to me.

I just can't wait to get one.

So you have two Elises?

Yes, both 05's built in late '04 so they both have the twin oil coolers and junk. One has everything including the sport kit, and the other has everything minus the sport kit. The sport kit one is krypton green and the other is Storm Titanium.

I've got one on order - $1000 dollar refundable deposit.

The dealer does not know the price yet but estimates a 10K increase over the Elise pricing, deliverys in 06 sometime

are they for sure this Exige will be released, and are you on a waitlist or actual order. When I left a deposit it was only a name on a list. The reason I ask is the elise will need to be redesigned for 2007 as Lotus' 3 year window will be up and the car still can't pass a crash test. So what all the means to me is why would they release the Exige for 1 year when they know more then enough orders will come in and they won't be able to fill them. Why not spend more time and money on a new design and run a bigger ad campaign for it, rather then promote an old design which will be soon unavailable.

Automobile magazine (June 05) has an article on it with some great pics.

here's the link of the pics which they turned into desktop images. Very cool.
