According to the folks at Valenti...
I am #6. My car was ordered in October, and info sent in with the first batch in Jan. I was told a month ago that realistically I wont see my car until August.

Are you talking to Bill? I called him last week and he had no information for me. I asked him about pricing on the exhaust options and he told me he had no information on anything. That makes me a little nervous. Have you found out exactly what they are going to charge you for the car and options? Any other information?
BTW, I am #25 at Valenti

From Bill R. yes
However, keep in mind they didnt have much information either. They told me realistically August, back when I was there to test drive the Rover Powered car in March. So at that time there wasn't much information. Lets face it there is still not. Where in Enfield are you? I'm in Rocky Hill. There's a guy from West Hartford that has one on order fromk there as well. Three cars in such a small local area. Darn. I was hoping I would be the only one around for miles!

Did you get to drive the car? When I went it was raining and they wouldn't let me take it out. There has got to be more information then they are letting out. You just don't put a bunch of cars on a boat and ship them across the Atlantic wth communicating to your distribution network that they are coming and when.
I'm near the malls so I've got a lot of little boys driving by my house with the big exhaust pipes!! It's going to be tough because they are all gonna wan to race me. But I'll just take them to Kart Trak and kick their butt there!!

I'm In Old Saybrook so I look forward to seeing you all taking a run down to the coast with your cars. I drove the Rover-powered car at Valenti, went home, thought about it, then went to HRM in Greenwich and placed an order. I posted my impressiions of the test drive on this site. I ended up in the middle of Mark's list (#75)because I ordered after the R&T article broke and before the NY Auto Show. But I really felt good about HRM and Mark and his philosophy. He reminds me of a guy that I used to race Porsches with. I also met his partner at the Nick Adams event in Greenwich and he too seemed like an honest guy. If you went to that, I was the short, fat guy with a beard that had trouble getting in the car with the top on ;-)>

Guys looking for easier entry with a top on should check out www.sector111.com - they have some info and photos of the gull-wing top that will be available in July. They are still working on a price.

I've seen that and that's a consideration but I'm concerned about integrity and leaks. Nick Adams told me that Lotus tried the gull-wing idea for the Elise and spent a lot of R&D money on the idea before writing it off. Maybe someone else has deeper R&D pockets. i haven't ruled it out.

i do know that it has gone thru extensive testing and they claim it is 'as leak proof as any removable top can be."

Leaks? What are you thinking? British sportscars don't leak. This is all foolish lies:D
Besides, I don't have to worry about water inside my Elise. Where I drive my car there will be loads of sunshine and beautiful birds singing. The hills are alive with the sounds of an inline 4!!!!:D :D

I have it on good authority
that the inline sounds you mention are
that of a 'YAH-MAH-HAH' tone. No way they weren't going to put their 'mark' on an engine that they had a hand in.
