Depends on which turbo solution you go with...

Dahlback Racing will get you over 400bps with no fault codes. Not cheap, however.

Why would you get an error code in an elise?

The link doesn't work anymore...

Any way, I think I was previously looking at a dyno printout of a transverse Audi TT motor with a bigger turbo kit. If not, I apologize and please ignore what I said. If so, there are many turbo kits out there for the 1.8T motor. Most tuners will claim that their software does not override any fault codes. However, most of them do. I currently have a bigge turbo kit on my A4 with the 1.8T with a software from a very reputable tuner. After many months of frustration of my car not running right, I brought my car to a shop that sells Dahlback Racing solutions. I just found out that the chip was overriding 3 fault codes (when the software is forcing the car to do something it doesn't want to do, shouldn't do, or done improperly, it will send out a fault code. Tuners know this and they program the software to hid this code. It hides the problem rather than solving it... it's a shortcut). I've never dealt with more irresponsible vendors/people than the aftermarket tuners (in general... not all). Buyer beware... better to pay up and get it right the first time.

No, what I was getting at is that when

doing a swap like this, the Audi ECU and software are not used. I understand about the Audi codes. My wife has a tt with a Giac chip etc. Bernard is using an Emerald ecu. It is laptop programable. So all of the mapping is done on a rolling road. The sensors on the tt motor are used but wired into the Emerald ecu.

Smile My bad...

It's up to Bernard's abilities then. Can he do it better than GIAC? I'm currently trying to figure out how much damage was done to my pistons/rings and possibly my head from all the detonations from my current GIAC setup... I was getting knocks at every gear almost at will. I just hope I'm not too late.
