Havoline vs MOTUL vs Castrol

Just did my first 1k service at the dealer, and found out that Mobil 1 was used (as shown on the invoice).

But... Mobil 1 does not make 5w40 at all!
I am going to change the oil myself this weekend, but don't know which oil to use.

Havoline 5w40 is listed on the manual, but I have had no previous experience with them and they are pretty hard to find.

I have been using Castrol SYNTEC and GTX on all my cars for the last 8 years and are very happy with them. (Once drove the car for 30 mins without coolant in it, and the SYNTEC protected the engine pretty well - no blown gasket, no damage at all)

MOTUL has an ester based 5w40 synthetic oil and said to stand up to really high temp (which our 2ZZ-GE sees all the time in the back) but at $26 per half liter.... for a Toyota engine??

help please

Oil Types

Ahhh...Sounds familiar. Ferrari Of Denver told me they put in Mobil 1, but I later checked the receipt and it read Shell 5w-40. Regardless, I changed the oil and filter myself using Castrol 5w-40 and a 6$ Toyota oil filter (identical part numbers to the Lotus filter) and the car runs noticably better. I'll have the dealer do the 'major services, but I'll do the oil change between the services myself.
