Celica Turbo kit

Would something like this not work on our cars?? It doesn say specifically, but I assume this kit is for a 2zz engine, correct? I mean it wouldnt be direct bolt on, but wold be close. Just a thought.

I think one tough part would be locating and piping the intercooler.

ya the turbo is about the only thing that would work... piping is going to be tuff to mount an intercooler. I wouldn't force feed the elise at all. at 11.5:1 compression its not exactly your typical setup for forced induction. I'd spend the time and money into wilder cams, intake, exhaust, and an ecu upgrade rather then add boost to that motor. its asking for problems

Please research the topic. You can turbo charge the engines and still maintain reliability and get good results. We are working with a high compression 1.8 litre motor so engine caps out around 450 hp after a radical rebuild and turbo. With stock internals you can push 250whp safely. Going above 8psi on stock internals is very risky due to the connecting rods were not built for boost and with the 11.5:1 compression thats requiring 93 octane already so you don't pre detonate. with a turbo under full boost i would recommend running higher octane however all this can be done and safely. There are some elise owners over in the celica forums with turbo's and they have amazing results. I would recomend taking some ques from celica owners since we have been looking into the engine for a lot long than elise owners. Some are very knowledgeable, others just ignore because there are a lot of kid owners that are all about "owning that honda". good luck and btw, im turbocharging my 2ZZ this summer and still researching. best kits are hass and C2 power from what i have herd. hass is real new to the scene though. Not sure if all the turbokits will bolt up since the obviously radically different position of engines and frames and what not. good luck
