Brett, recently left Forcedfed and is now part of ragnorak racing. They are working on a super charger I believe. They have also done cams.

Also, MWR. Monkey wrench racing is doing a turbo for the elise as well.

Turbo Charger

Just was given a ride in Forced Fed turbo Elise. Short as the trip was, it was certainly eye opening. This kit was put in the Elise at the local dealer and as far as I can tell, was a beautiful fit and looked well engineered too.
They also installed a heavier duty clutch. I would love to do this for my car, however the expense is getting up there ( $13K with clutch, kit, and oil temp gauge and boost gauge). The performance is incredible. Any optional kits out there yet? Is this too expensive or are their less expensive options. This is certainly less expensive than trading for the Exige I covet.

ok, when I first became introduced to the elise, I was under the impression that it would have a lotus engine, and it would be slightly heartbreaking to tamper with such engineering. however, now that I know that the elise is equipped with a toyota engine, I have no quams about it.

I understand if you're not mechanically inclined, but I hope no one will rule out the fact of making your own custom setup. I gaurantee you it shouldn't be 13k for a single turbo kit.

Admittedly though, I am not familiar with the engine bay and duct work on the elise. I can foresee the intercooling to be the most peculiar part about a custom setup here. Get your hands on some flow charts for some small-mid size turbos and start tinkering!

I know when I finally have an elise (years from now unfortunately) it will end up being turbocharged, and I most definately will not be looking for pre-made setups.

Funny definition

Sometimes the upgrades don't work out as planned. Check this out it is a word coined by C&D editor Tony Quiroga.

Ed...

You are aware that there is no mechanical difference between the current Elise and the Exige that will be coming in very soon. No factory super or turbo charging for the Exige, same engine/horsepower/torque as fitted in the Elise.

This MAY change down the road, but for '06 trading for the coveted Exige will not get you a faster car and your current Elise.
