Carbon Cleaning

Every time you start your car the dreaded black-stuff
begins forming and eventually finds its way into many
nooks and crannies throughout your internals. Chevron
gasoline, which I don't have access to here in the N.E.,
contains Techron and this chemical has been found to
help greatly in dissipating carbon. Personally, I buy a
plastic bottle of the stuff every time I change my oil
and put it in my gas. Still, it is a good idea to get a
formal carbon cleaning, at a service-center that has
the actual 'custom' equipment, every year or two. If
most of your driving is 'short hops', do it every year.
If your able to 'open her up' regularly, a two year
interval is probably more than sufficient.
