is there a kill switch in the computer?

Hi, i recently slid my car into a curb. car is fine, dented rim, bruised ego. Catch is, the car won't turn over... it starts up, and the engine starts to rattle, and then it shuts down.

is this mechanical? or is there an automatic shutdown when there is an impact? i'm not sure how the engine could have been damaged. it was the right rear wheel, but i feel like its more of a safety mechanism than actual damage. i didn't hit that hard, maybe 15 mph?

is there a way to reset the car?

any ideas? other than just taking it into the shop?

I know that if the alarm is set off you need to hit the right sequence of buttons on the "fob" to take it out of immobilize mode... seems like a firm curb may mess with the alarm (i am certainly no expert though...)

There is an inertia switch in the engine bay that needs to be reset. Just need to push the button. It is below the windscreen fluid container. You can also find it's location by looking in the owner's manual. There is a picture there.

Edit: in looking at the date of the original post, I really hope you figured this, or whatever was wrong with your car, out by now...
