what kind of engine mods ar out there?

It seems to me that this engine is not very easily modded. I have heard little about celica mods except ripping out the whole thing and replacing it with something else. Without going too crazy what is out there for the elise without compromising its perfect chassis balance and drivability?

I'm new so far and have not gotten mine yet. I cant really answer your question and tell you what parts are out there. Mainly because I'm not to worried about it. Depending on the waiting period, and if I can get one before the new year I have a company that will custom make me all the parts I want. After that they keep the molds or whatever they need and will reproduce it.

I'd surf newcelica.org and follow the performance discussion. Sometimes the 2zz Spyder owners speak of upgrades...

I will have aftermarket valve springs and valves plus an Apexi PFC so I'll be able to rev up to 9 grand. Oh yeah and a port and polish job.
