after market hard top

I shall pick up my new Elise next week in Scottsdale, AZ. It does not have a hard top. Is there any aftermarket folks out there for this?

aftermarket hard tops

Sector 111 has a hard top that flips up on each side. It looks great but my dealer says that it was designed for people with helmets to get in and out of the car - and that it leaks pretty badly.

My car came without a hardtop, but I later ordered one from Lotus.

Paint matches perfectly (black car) and well worth having the hardtop, imho.

How much did you pay for the Hard Top?

I've heard that buying one through a dealer, not as part of the original car purchase, adds as much as a grand to the cost. Of course, everything is negotiable.

My first Elise came w/out top. I told my salesperson to see if anyone buying a black Elise w/top decided to not get the top when the car arrived, saving them $1500. Indeed, that's what happened. I got a call after a couple of months and picked up a new hard top at the price paid when the car was ordered.
