Door rattle question...

Probably a thread somewhere on here about it, but I am new so bear with me. Is there an easy fix for the rattley doors? Just sounds bad when shutting them, like parts are loose inside. I know my vette was the same way. Just sounds bad when pulling up and getting out. Shut the door on your hot looking Elise and the doors rattle when shut. Makes it sound kind of cheap...I would just like to get a more solid and firm sounding hit when closed. Any easy fixes ? Thanx ....

rattly door

Check th screw that secures the window track. It is located at the top back edge of the door just underneath the weatherstripping. Mine was loose & caused a rattle. If the screw backs out far enough, the window won't go all the way up.

rattly doors

I just bought a 2006 Elise that has the same problem. I must be slow because I can't locate the magic screw that fixes the problem. Could somebody post a picture of the screw so I can find it.

Loose screws

I don't have my camera, but if you use a flashlight an a long #2 phillips with 12" shaft you can reach them through the gap between weather seal, when the window is down. Mine now has a new rattle caused by the window going down too far, I'll see how to adjust the stop when I take the door panel off....
