There's a power outlet between the drivers on the firewall, not very convenient for a radar detector cord. I'd recommend "hardwiring" a radar detector cord (it's much cleaner) or getting a battery operated one.

As for the cup holder I found this setup in the UK.

All cars come with a cup holder, including the Elise. They are located in the center of each seat, right between your legs. It is a convenient place if your crotch needs to be cooled or warmed, depending on the temperature of the cup contents.

Of course, the cup holder disappears when you get out of the car, which is why nobody can see it from the pictures and why it isn't listed in the car specifications.

Cup Holder

Driving makes me thirsty too. Life's too short to not enjoy an ice-cold Coke (water or Java if you desire) with my car - two of my favorite things. It's May in Georgia and it's already hot & humid. I searched eBay and other sites for suitable cup holders - something lightweight and complimentary to the interior of the car.

www.drinkholders.com has the only horizontal-mount collapsible drink holder that I could find. Vertical mount holders are available often through marine or auto suppliers.

I think it will mount neatly on the wide door sills and collapse small enough to get out of the way. Plus it will be in a more ergonomic location than the floor by the shifter.

The cup holders come covered in leather or burled walnut finish, but I contacted the company and they also do an Aluminum Finish that I think will look best. (I was leary about trying to match the "biscuit" color leather in my car and thought it would look too cheesy.)

I'll post a photo when I get them installed. I am considering installing them with velcro so that they can be removed if need be.
