Safest Car Color Is...........

Silver! This color car is involved in far fewer crashes than cars of other colors.
According to a study by researchers at the Univ. Of Auckland in N.Z. that assessed the effect of car colors on the risk of serious injury in over 1,000 Auckland drivers between 1998-99, silver cars were 50% less likely to be involved in a crash resulting in a serious injury when compared with white cars. The least safest car colors, according to Reuters, are brown, black, and green. The risk factor for white, yellow, red, gray, and blue cars are in the middle range and about the same for each. Reason why silver is safer? The researchers have no idea but they speculate that silver , a light color that is highly reflective, may make cars more visible on a highway. Silver was also the most popular car color in U.S., Europe, and Asia last year according to the most recent Global Color Popularity report by Dupont. The study findings were published in the British Medical Journal.

You asked ... Have a look and judge for yourself.

Based on the pictures, I think the Mercedes and Lotus are the safest cars on the road regardless of color.

Well, by the pictures, it looks like the crowd that ordered blue is in for some trouble.

...and just think, those were all from bad parallel parking mishaps :D

Actually, most of those looked like the driver's side and the rest of the cockpit was fairly safe. I'm sure the brits wished they had airbags standard in the earlier models after those mishaps though. Altogether, It looks to be a very protective car.
