Racing help Needed
After two Central America races (finished 2nd and 3rd), we are looking to reduce our lap times (no fun being the first or second loser).
Our car is a 2006 Exige Cup car (purchased new in Switzerland).
We have learned the following:
1. The Pagid (Lotus Sport) pads will overheat and warp the front rotors causing severe brake judder. EBC yellowstuff work MUCH better. Has anyone tried any other racing pads?
2. The stock discs will crack (especially the right front). We are looking at the Sector 111 discs. Has anyone raced them? Has anyone tried the EBC discs (ebcbrakes.com)?
3. The suspension (even on the hardest setting) is too soft (front fenders rubbing). Does anyone know where to get stronger springs for the Ohlins suspension?
4. We are running Rota Slipstream 15x7 and 16x8 wheels (thank you blackwatchracing.com...they are great!) with Hankook Slicks (required by sanctioning body).
For our very brake intensive curvy but flat track, we feel we need the following:
1. More Camber (we have taken all the shims out but and now need some advice on how to get more camber in rear).
2. More power (we have Reverie Daytona Induction kit, Stage 2 Exhaust - not catalyst, rest is stock). We need more power but CAN NOT supercharge or use a turbo. Any ideas?
Your help is appreciated.
