Angry air conditioner

anyone notice the air conditioner works great at first the car is started, then kinda drops off. the fan speed seams to lessen and the cold air seems to fade away. if i turn it off for awhile it will come back on at peak performance. sometimes it stays that way throughout the drive and other times goes back to diminished output. am i alone with this problem? when it works properly it will run me out on high in 95* south carolina heat. any help out there?

Take it to your dealer, there is an A/C service bulletin, some of the early models had a temperature probe position in the wrong place and caused the A/C to freeze.
