Was this through Star Motorcars? If so, how was your experience (with the dealer)?

Yes

It was with them on Old Katy Rd. He is pretty informative and gave a good run.

Have you gone there yet ? If not tell him that I refferred you to him (Paul). They also have a club here in Houston !

Paul,
Thanks, I have spoken with them on the phone. I will mention your name when I drop in.

Agreed, the Lotus salesman Wally was very knowledgeable and pleasant to talk with. Star Motorcars has also told me that they have never sold any of their cars over MSRP, and they have been in business for over 35 years. That is very reassuring since many dealers out there will be hoarding the first 5-10 Elises that arrive and trying to sell them at a "what the market will bare" price.

Paul,

I went and saw Wally yesterday to put down my deposit. He was great to work with, like you said. The wait is now in the 12-14 mo. time frame

Don't be shocked if it actually takes about 24 months from
now. Recent articles claim a two year back-log at this time, over 4,000 cars.

hmmm

12-24 months ? Sounds like my business plan to 100k in 12-24 months retirement ! lol

He said about 12 months for me.. longer wait for people going in later.

Yeah that is a long time though... but good things have to be waited on. It is like women... good ones come only once in a while, and when it comes it is so worth it.
