Nobody seems to have mentioned Nitrons. Nearly all the Elises here in Western Australia use these and they're great. If I ever had to replace the Ohlins on my 240 Cup I'd use these again. I have them on my S2 Elise and 340R. Single way only as well.

BTW all of them are predominently used for racing (90%). Sprints, Hill Climbs, Targa West and Track.

Pete

noble

Noble now has a new 'kit' car- the M15. The UK assembled version has a better gearbox than the M12.... But please, a kit car for that dough? Who says you can't consider a bone stock Exige as a tuner. There are plenty of suspension ideas on this site, but your comparison relates to powerplant. The right mods and a big turbo could smoke anything under $200k, driveably. And who says ya gotta stick with the six-speed out of a 2000 Celica. There are sequential gearboxes out there with aluminum alloy cases--lightweight. The 1.8 L. might be swapped for an '04? all-aluminum 60-degree Lexus 3.0 L. V6 (may require custom engine mounts). Add the usual tuner goodies, and Bob's your father's brother.
