Nitron Adjustable Suspension
about $1500 = 845 pounds
Many years development has gone into the design of this system. Guy Evans (the designer) works on GT Racers and consistently applies the same quality and technology to these units. In our opinion, you cannot get better value for money. Made from the finest quality components and to exacting standards these are lightweight and a direct replacement for your originals. Specifically valved for the Elise and having been tested over a 2 year period to get things just right. Two models available, one is pre set for road and fast track use. The other has the option of 14 damper settings, the platform is fully adjustable so you can have your car sitting as low or as high as you like. A full choice of springs are available from 150 LBS increasing in 20LB increments to 500LBS.(Most people use between 200 Lbs and 400 Lbs).
Stiffer Adjustable Anti-Roll Bars
about $350 = 199 pounds
Our anti-roll bars are second to none. Engineered from CDS sprung steel. Two choices of stiffness are available and each bar can be varied by moving the drop-links either further or closer to the centre of the bar. Both kits come complete with new ARB nylatron bushes and new inserts. They are a direct replacement for your present bar. Fitting should take under an hour.
Wishbones
about $2200 = 1295 pounds for a full set
Another un-sprung weight application are the wishbones. These are made from lighter, yet stronger CDS (cold drawn steel) rather than ERW (Electric Resistance Welded tube) enabling the use of smaller OD tube yet keeping the strength necessary. Available in two styles:-
1. Uses the original bushes and ball joints (road car) or
2. Manufactured to use spherical bearing joints (track car)
The use of spherical bearings are more advantageous in a track going vehicle as they give a more positive feel to the car/suspension but do transmit more road noise. A happy compromise is to fit the Elise Parts Nylatron bushes to the inboard wishbone mounts.
