ABS issues

Has anyone had any problems with their ABS system while at the track or while racing?

No problems here. I think the breaks have performed very well.

Update

It is not the ABS.

The pads are overheating and catching fire causing brake shudder. Discs warped and cracked.....

Help! Who knows of a good brake upgrade for the Exige or Elise?

Check with sector111 www.sector111.com I think they've got some aftermarket braking package or know of them certainly.

You probably also want to check at elisetalk.com as I wonder if the problem goes deeper than that. Most of us have found that the stock setup (AP Racing front/Brembo rear) is excellent for track use. Most of the aftermarket setups are popular simply because the factory pad and disc replacements are expensive relative to the other options.

I've done several track days in the past year and haven't even experienced fade, much less fire. A guy with a pyrometer found that he wasn't even able to get enough heat into his brakes to fully take advantage of the full-race pads he'd swapped in.
