Replacement tires Goodyear

I'm thinking of replacing my stock tires with Goodyear F1 GS D3 rears. Any opinion on the tires or on the effect on the car?

Thanks

My rear tires need replacing, but the front are still good so I'll be keeping those until I need replacing.

I have always heard that the fronts and the rears are best matched...

Is there a good reason to switch the rears? Were you doing that for more longevity, more grip or other? Do you like how it is handling at the moment with the Yokohamas?

I would suggest that you do the fronts too if your switching to GY.
Or if the fronts are only 1/2 down - do another set of Yokos on the rear then switch(???)

I could picture a scenario where the <> says "and the tires were not the manufactures recommended ones... and also miss matched... Your honor"

Thanks Holmz! Actually, my situation was as you described. My rears were literally bald and the fronts are about 50%. As it happened, I purchased a pair of Bridgestone's yesterday and had them put on. So far, they're great! I'll keep you posted.
